About
Artist international Music & Dance Association
The Artist international Music & Dance Association is a Canadian registered non profit organization. Founded in March 20,1997,   located in the city of Toronto, where deep-rooted art and multi-cultural music are nourished, gathered many world-class musicians. With our Honorary President Maureen Forrester, who is a renowned Canadian icon and one of the first Canadian performers to gain international stature. Her work and her warm buoyant spirit have helped generate worldwide respect for Canada and Canadian artists.
Our goals are to promote cultural exchange through the arts of music and dance, as well as to produce and present performances and exhibitions that showcase emerging artists through the arrangement of competitions with the establishment and granting of prizes, awards, and distinctions. The main objective is to give young musicians the experience and exposure needed to build successful career.
Since the start of A.I.M.D.A. in year 1987, the association has been holding annual competitions for over 1000 emerging artists. Participants greatly enjoyed their interaction with Judges from all over the world. They were also given performing opportunities to nurture their musical skills and talents.

Toronto Arts Festival.
The Artist International Music and Dance Association`s After two days hard work rehearsals, the "Golden October" Joint Opera Concert of Central Conservatory of Music and Toronto School of Music was held in Toronto Centre for the Arts in the evening of October 14th, 2017. At the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the founding of Canada, the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau sent a congratulatory note to the "Golden October Concert." In the letter, he thanked the musicians from China and Canada for sharing their artistry with Canadian community. Before the concert, Hon. Jim Karygiannis, Toronto City Councillor, Han Ning, the Head of Cultural Office of the Consulate General of P. R. China in Toronto, and Colin Yip, the President of International Music & Dance Association in Canada and the President of Toronto School of Music, warmly welcomed Professor Guo Shuzhen and the teachers and students of Central Conservatory Opera Centre. They highly praised the contribution that Central Conservatory of Music made for the cultural and artistic communication between China and Canada. Professor Guo Shuzhen, on behalf of the President of CCOM Yu Feng, expressed his thanks to Toronto School of Music and gave CCOM souvenirs as a gift.
